Engineering Overview & Key Features

Industrial perforated pipes operate as the critical structural core in fluid separation, acoustic baffling, and subterranean soil drainage. By combining heavy hydraulic shearing, CNC multi-station punching, and automated longitudinal/spiral seam welding, Ambani Metals produces tubing that handles demanding mechanical collapse pressures without geometric deformation.

  • Precision Geometry: Concentric roundness, straightness tolerance within ±1.5 mm per 6 m length, and completely deburred internal and external surfaces.
  • Perforation Variations: Straight line or staggered pitch patterns with round, rectangular, bridge-slot, or directional micro-perforations from 0.8 mm to 50 mm.
  • Flexible Open Area: Tailored open area ratios (5% to 65%) configured to balance particulate filtration retention and hydraulic volumetric flow velocity.
  • Certified Integrity: 100% weld joint integrity checked through ultrasonic and hydrostatic testing to guarantee zero failure under dynamic cyclic stress.

Industrial Applications & Advantages

Our perforated pipe products are integrated into mission-critical infrastructure across five continents, delivering significant advantages over non-perforated or slotted alternatives.

  • Oil & Gas Separation: Sand-control base pipes, downhole completion screens, and mud pump intake filtration systems.
  • Water Treatment & Desalination: High-volume intake strainers, deep well dewatering casing, reverse osmosis core supports, and subsurface drainage collection.
  • Automotive & Noise Abatement: High-temperature perforated exhaust cores, silencer tubes, and industrial acoustic resonance mufflers.
  • Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: Catalyst support baskets, internal fluid distributors, and solids-liquid centrifuge screening cores.
  • Civil Infrastructure & Agriculture: Retaining wall hydrostatic pressure relief systems and automated agricultural subsurface root irrigation.

Technical Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions by Overseas Buyers

In-depth technical answers addressing engineering verification, quality compliance, and international freight handling.

We fabricate round, slotted, rectangular, bridge-slot, and spiral perforation patterns. Hole diameters range from micro-perforations of 0.8 mm up to 50 mm, with custom hole pitches and open area ratios ranging from 5% to 65% tailored to meet specific collapse strength and hydraulic throughput parameters.

Every batch is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Report (MTR) detailing chemical analysis and mechanical properties. In-house testing includes positive material identification (PMI), hydrostatic pressure testing, weld radiography or ultrasonic tests, roundness and straightness dimensional verification, and third-party inspection (TUV, SGS, Bureau Veritas, DNV).

Depending on wall thickness and pipe diameter, we utilize longitudinal TIG (GTAW), continuous High-Frequency (ERW), and automated Submerged Arc Welding (SAW). For high-collapse downhole well screens and large diameters, spiral seam welded structures are also manufactured.

Pipes are cleaned, deburred, passivated (for stainless steel), and coated with rust-preventive oil (for carbon/alloy steel). Bundles are secured with heavy-duty steel strapping, wrapped in waterproof poly-sheeting, protected with bevel end caps, and crated in heat-treated ISPM-15 compliant wooden boxes or steel frames for containerized shipping.
